Start the day with the Watertown Public Arts and Culture Committee's celebration of the new sculptures on the Community Sculpture Walk. Meet at 11am at the Linear Path behind City Hall and Saltonstall Park to hear talks from the sculptors and hear music from Watertown school bands.
Check out Block Parties with food trucks, ice cream, and activities at Spring St and Buick St.
After Hours, 6-9pm
After the day is done, head out for After Hours with food and drink at Ritcey East with music by Shadows on the Mountain, Phil and the Flying Leap, and Bry Tobin! And head over to WCA-TV's studio to join in some Mario Kart while the MIT Video Game Orchestra plays the course music! Scroll to the bottom of the schedule to see more info!
What is Porchfest?
Porchfest is an afternoon
of free music (and other performances) performed outside of people’s
homes - on porches, patios, driveways, and lawns.
What kind of groups can perform?
Any
and all are welcome! You can play solo or with a group; with
instruments or a capella. Any type of music is welcome. We also welcome
other types of performances, such as dance or spoken word; use the
“other” genre category when signing up.
